Interview with History without a doubt is the most comprehensive and in depth book I've read in many years. Difficult to put down - a must read for every American that wants to know what is really going on in our country. WAKE UP AMERICA - THE WOLF IS AT THE DOOR. Jimmy Files is the best friend and partner a man could have. No matter what people may say about him, he is a true American Patriot.

I received a review on our book Interview with History: The JFK Assassination and I’m going to try and make a copy of it and send it to you. This is one of those times I would like for you to put out a rebuttal and etc…and, make sure you let the people know this man cannot read. No where did we say I was with Lee Harvey Oswald in 1961. No where did we say I hung out with LHO in New Orleans. I met him in Clinton, Louisiana and that is quite a ways from New Orleans. I wish I was out there. I’d love to take care of some of these idiots myself in my own way. Like make them sit down and eat the entire book or have his brains splattered all over the pages and that would be their choice. :)(:

No one, including Bob Vernon, has been able to substantiate Files claims having been in the Army, in the 82nd Airborne, he claims to have enlisted in January 1959 and being sent to Loas in July 1959 as an "advisor" to the Loation (Loa, the "S" in Loas was added by the French) teaching setting of ambushes, setting detonators, working with explosives.
James Files: #2 The “S” was already on Laos, as the French was out of there in 1954 or ’55, and I didn’t get there until 1959!
This by a 17 year old kid who was fresh out of 3 months of basic training and (presumably) 4 months of jump school (since he says he served with the 82nd Airborne Division)? It takes years of training to be able to master that kind of thing, let alone be an instructor.
James Files: #3 If you are good at what you do, it don’t take 20 years to learn it and if you’re that STUPID, then you won’t make it in the military.
Stockwell also says that though Files owned a Remington Fireball pistol (he claims he used this bolt action handgun chambered in .222 Remington to shoot JFK in the head from the grassy knoll, Josiah Thompson, author of Six Seconds In Dallas first put forth the Fireball theory) the serial number shows a date of manufacture after the assasination.
James Files: #4 Ask him how they got the serial number when they never got the gun. Each and every gun has a different serial number. Where have they got the gun that I used? Produce the gun! There’s a mark I put on mine that I did to every weapon that I ever used to take a life.
He was also involved with the real Lee Harvey Oswald, not the false defector using that identity that was framed for the assasination and murdered by Jack Ruby while in police custody.
James Files: #5 The REAL Lee Harvey Oswald had a small scar on his upper lip. Ask “Price” how LHO got that scar and the REAL LHO was with me, for I saw the scar.
What is interesting about some things Files says though, is that he was "palling around" with Lee Harvey Oswald in New Orleans with fake shipments of Thompson submachine guns in 1961.
James Files: #6 I never made a statement that LHO and I were paling around in New Orleans together. I was never in New Orleans with LHO. However, I did hunt down a couple of other people in New Orleans. (See Interview with History: The JFK Assassination pages 75-76 to corroborate James Files version) I made it very plain that I met LHO for the first time about 6 months prior to the assassination in Clinton, LA. (See IWH page 76 paragraph 2 lines 1-3) “Now, back to New Orleans, and at that time, that is where Lee was residing. I met Lee with David Phillips, just outside of Clinton, Louisiana in a very small burb in the middle of nowhere.”
Armstrong's meticulous research shows that there were two "Lee Harvey Oswald" and it was the result of a government, State Department and CIA, false defector program, where one person would assume the identity of another at an early age for the purpose infiltrating the Soviet Union for espionage purposes.
James Files: #7 Yes, the Agency did use doubles. But they would never use a double with a Top Secret Security Clearance to go to the USSR. The Soviets knew the Agency sent Oswald there and did not want anything to do with him. They never ask him anything for the simple reason they knew it would be 15 ounces of bullshit and one ounce of truth. The Soviets were not that stupid! However, “Price” must be that STUPID!
It was the real Oswald who could drive and had a drivers license (Harvey couldn't drive), who went to Mexico City, and who was in Clinton, Lousiana with Clay Shaw and David Ferry and applied for a job at the state hospital near there.
James Files: #7 I have always said that LHO could drive.

Perhaps you shoould re-post your review, I'd like to read it. James Files is just another red herring in the JFK murder case. The fact that his name was put forward by a FBI agent (Zack Shelton) in the first place is suspicious. The FBI was and is up to their eyeballs in covering up (and probably assisting in) this crime, as were many other federal agencies, notably the Secret Service and the CIA. I don't believe for one second that Files was behind that fence, regardless of what weapon was fired from there. Why would the plotters responsible for carrying out this assasination use a low level hood like him? In regard to the shooters, it's as Oliver Stone said in the commentary to JFK-The Directors Cut, "pro's, always pro's". This guy doesn't qualify for a job of this magnitude. Files story has been debunked by John Stockwell, among others. Telephone records show he was in Chicago on November 22, 1963. My father was with the MAAG Laos (Military Advisory & Assistance Group, Loas) in 1962 and he was an officer with 20 years in the army coming up through the ranks. This guy would not have been what he claims, when he claims. Files also is putting out "the Mafia did it" story that has been popular with puppets like Robert Blakey. He claims he and mafioso Charles Nicolleti were wandering around DealyPlaza at 10:00 AM (2 and 1/2 hours before the assasination) trying to figure out where to be to fire at the president. Huh? This kind of thing is planned out weeks, months in advance. Files claims he wasn't paid any money for an interview with Bob Vernon, Stockwell says it's his understanding that Files' daughter was paid $50,000 immediately after the project was sold to Dick Clark/MPI. He also claims Charles Nicoletti, a mafia assasin, kept a diary of his hits and gave both this diary and false Secret Service badges to Files. It's highly unlikely a professional killer would keep such a diary or record, let alone turn it over to someone else. Stockwell also says that though Files owned a Remington Fireball pistol (he claims he used this bolt action handgun chambered in .222 Remington to shoot JFK in the head from the grassy knoll, Josiah Thompson, author of Six Seconds In Dallas first put forth the Fireball theory) the serial number shows a date of manufacture after the assasination. Martin Shackleford however says that David Atlee Phillips gave Files the Fireball for an earlier job. My one problem really with Stockwell's and Shackleford's critiques of Files is they view David Atlee Phillips as merely a propaganist, which he indeed was, but he was a lot more than that and was a case officer handling anti-Castro Cubans. He was also involved with the real Lee Harvey Oswald, not the false defector using that identity that was framed for the assasination and murdered by Jack Ruby while in police custody.

I suggest here that everyone get a copy of John Armstrong's book "Harvey and Lee---How the CIA framed Oswald" ( http://home.wi.rr.com/harveyandlee/ ). Armstrong's meticulous research shows that there were two "Lee Harvey Oswald" and it was the result of a government, State Department and CIA, false defector program, where one person would assume the identity of another at an early age for the purpose infiltrating the Soviet Union for espionage purposes. There were two other "defectors" in the USSR at the time Harvey was there, and Marina Prusakova tried to get next to at least one of them too. The person framed as the assasin and shot to death by Jack Ruby was the native Russian speaker sent to the USSR who liked to go by the name Harvey, and the real Lee Oswald was indeed involved with gun running and anti-Castro activities with CIA operatives such as Guy Bannister, David Ferry (it was the real Oswald who was in Ferry's Civil Air Patrol unit along with Barry Seale, see Daniel Hopsicker's book "Barry and the Boys" for this and the fact that Seale was far more than a pilot flying drugs for a Columbian cartel, he was a pilot for the CIA and knew guys like Frank Sturgis, Richard Seymour and Felix Rodriguez-later famous in the Iran-Contra scandal, and was flying dope in and out of the Mena, Arkansas airport that the Clinton's protected while he was governor and state attorney general; http://www.amazon.com/Barry-Boys-Americas-Secret-History/dp/0970659172 ) and Clay Shaw. It was also the real Oswald who appeared in a film made at a training camp for anti-Castro Cubans. It was the real Oswald who could drive and had a drivers license (Harvey couldn't drive), who went to Mexico City, and who was in Clinton, Lousiana with Clay Shaw and David Ferry and applied for a job at the state hospital near there. It was his activities that prompted the June, 1960 memo from J. Edgar Hoover about someone using "Oswalds' passport". It's also the real Lee Oswald that people saw with Jack Ruby, as Harvey did not know Ruby, Clay Shaw or David Ferry but did know Guy Bannister. That is a fascinating, well researched book that helps explain a great deal. So Files could have been involved with some other, peripherial activities prior to November 22, 1963.
